The annual Senior/Faculty games took place March 12. The girls played volleyball against the female faculty, and the boys played basketball against the male faculty. Seniors got the unique opportunity to face off against their teachers and be competitive with them. The seniors got to choose if they wanted to participate in the events or watch them instead.
“I watched (the Senior/Faculty games) the past three years,” senior Jase Downey said. “I told myself that I was eventually going to do it.”
The volleyball game was first, and six senior girls went out. Most of the girls did not play volleyball as a main sport.
“(My favorite part was) when T-Sals (Tamara Salisbury) went to spike the ball and I blocked it,” senior Maddy Stevens said.
Senior Konner Bidwell said he enjoyed this aspect of the games the most.
“(I enjoyed playing) Mr. King because he is strong and he fights back and makes you work for it,” Bidwell said.
The seniors won against the faculty and staff in both volleyball and basketball.
