In the final weeks of the school year, seniors found themselves reflecting on everything from the random, everyday memories to the emotional weight of their final performances.
While many expect senior year to be remembered by the big milestones and events, it was often the small, mundane moments in the classroom that left the biggest impression.
“(I’ll remember) probably either journalism because we laugh a lot in that class or College Algebra because we have a lot of fun,” senior Anna Bender said.
As the “lasts” of senior year started to pile up, the reality of graduation became impossible to ignore. For those involved in arts and athletics, saying goodbye to performing was a bittersweet experience.
“At Pratt for a state large group, we were getting done playing our last piece in front of the judges for my last time on that stage, and I started tearing up,” senior Ashton Stull said.
Graduation stirred up excitement about the new chapter ahead while also celebrating the transformation of the last four years.
“The person that will walk across the stage has definitely become a more confident and outgoing person,” senior Morgan Koester said. “I am excited for the new chapter but sad to leave the four years behind.”
