English was a required class for all four years to graduate, yet was still a class many said they enjoyed. It taught students how to write a paragraph, tell a story, and see a different perspective.
“This year, we did a Bill of Rights poster specifically about brain rot with everybody at our table group,” junior Gavin Gerlach said.
The freshman class did a gallery walk about heroes and how they were viewed by other people.
“(For the question of) would it be better to have strength or intelligence in the woods for survival, (I put) strength because if you need to build a shelter,” freshman Colby Doll said.
For some, they said they like English because it teaches them skills they can use for their future.
“I’ll be able to use it for work,” sophomore Jade Erker said, ”and communicating with people and giving speeches.”
