Student Council had many responsibilities, such as planning events, fundraising, decorating, and putting together activities for the student body. One task that the students did is come up with the games for Red and White Olympics and Battle of the Classes.
“I think planning all the events [is my favorite task] and just seeing how excited people get when we do something different,” senior Faith Rivera said. “When we introduced Super Smash Bros. to the Battle of the Classes, people were very excited about that.”
Rivera was vice president, in charge of taking attendance at meetings.
“I do like that people come to me with their concern because they know that since I’m the vice president they know I can help,” she said.
Nov. 20, all the Stuco members got to attend League Stuco at Cheney. They partnered with the Outreach Program to make meals for people in need.
“I like talking with other schools, getting to know other people and learning different things they do at their school,” sophomore Jaryn Zoglmann said. “We made meals for people in need and that was pretty cool to do.”
Many students said they enjoyed Stuco for the opportunity to be leaders in the student body.
“I think it allows more doors to be opened for more fun activities,” freshman Zane May said.
