In past years, Student Council hosted a Back to School Bash for students only; this year, Booster Club and Stuco paired up and scheduled it for the first Friday back to school, to promote the community spirit and involvement for all members of the community: elementary through high school students, parents and anyone else interested.

“I feel like there were a lot of people that went,” freshman Miley Pauly said. “I thought it would be just a few parents, but the whole community was involved.”

They brought in three different food trucks that the attendants could choose from: The Bomb BBQ, Cluck Truck, and Mrs. Cole’s Snow Cones. All fall athletes were given a free meal ticket by the Booster Club to go to the truck of their choice.

The dance and cheer teams also performed for everyone who was attending. Following this, athletic director Matt Biehler introduced all the fall sports teams to come on stage one by one. These teams included football, volleyball, girls tennis, and girls and boys cross country.

The firefighters came to give kids the chance to play in the water while they were there, the police department had vehicles open for kids to explore, and Booster Club sold Conway Springs apparel, but that was not all the entertainment

“Listening to Officer Boyd singing was my favorite part,” junior Alex Hekel said. “I didn’t expect it.”

The bash was from 6-8 p.m., and following that Stuco held yard games.

“My favorite part was winning cornhole with Weston against Logan and Joseph,” sophomore Levi Mies said.
