There were four different business classes offered for students: Financial Literacy, Business Communication, Computer Technology, and Accounting. Computer Technology and Financial Literacy were required courses by the state.
“You learn a lot about what can help you with your job and stuff outside of school,” junior Ryleigh Ball said.
Students learned many different topics during these classes; everything from how to use a computer to financial tips and tricks.
“(I learned) how to format correctly, like on all platforms, and do it more efficiently, also time management,” junior Alex Ballard said.
Future Business Leader of America (FBLA) was a new program established last year. In this club, students competed against students from other schools in business-related topics. This club was not only for future business students; it was a great club for networking and learning more about financial management.
“It is a great networking opportunity, especially if you want to go into anything business-related,” sophomore Micah Wolke said. “It is also good, even if you aren’t going into anything business-wise in the future, because you can still network and meet new people.”
