Math classes were filled with number crunching calculators and minds being put to the test. Math may not have been everyone’s favorite subject, but some students said there’s nothing quite like figuring out a complex math problem.
“Being able to go through the steps of a complex and long math problem and getting an answer and then checking with a partner if it’s right is especially rewarding when you and your partner get the same answer,” senior Reece Johnson said.
Math wasn’t all about numbers, though; it was also about students being able to use it in the real world and in their futures. Senior Jase Downey said he took Calculus because he’ll need it for his future degree.
“It is not just formulas,” he said. “It is more about the world around you and how it works.”.
Math classes weren’t always boring, either. Some students even dared to say they have fun and laugh often in their math classes.
“Mr. (Justin) Regehr’s brainrot of the day that he uses at least 6 or 7 times of the day and his laugh (are fun moments),” freshman Essie Herndon said.
