This year’s team was smaller compared to previous years. Some of the girls said that having a smaller team comes with some benefits.
“We’ve all gotten a lot closer and we can have more personal connections,” junior Ali Potts said.
The team took home some big wins this year and attended league on Oct. 7. The players said lots of memories were made and there were lots of positives throughout the season.
“I improved on becoming a better teammate, and better to my teammates and coaches,” sophomore Addison Rusco said.
Junior doubles team Morgan and Sadie Koester got second at regionals and played at state Oct. 18 and 19. With preparation, the pair won fourth place at state.
“We worked on a lot of balling,” Sadie said. “Mr. Bellar hit the balls really hard to prepare us for the teams that hit the balls really hard.”
