There are so many animals that we use and take advantage of every day. Like dogs, for example; we use them for comfort, and some have to use them because they are disabled and or need special services. Or there are other animals like fish or deer. We hunt and fish for these animals almost every day, sometimes for sport. Most of the time, we end up eating them. So out of all the animals in the world, which one would judge us the most?
In my opinion, I think it would be roly-poly’s or other insects that we kill for no reason. Adding up all 900,000 species, scientists have estimated that there are a total of 10 quintillion (10,000,000,000,000,000) individual insects alive on Earth today. They are generally no threat to us, and they leave us alone, (unless we upset them),but we have the audacity to stomp their guts out anyway because… well, I don’t really know why.
Most people are afraid of insects because they are different and not necessarily the cutest things on the planet. Most people never stop to think about what we actually do to these animals every day, like stomping on insects and killing them for no reason. Could you imagine just murdering a human just because they looked funny or scary?
So from now on, maybe think before you squash that bug, and let them live their lives unless they are a threat to you in some way.
