Editor’s note: The Talent Show has been cancelled for the time being.
The Pep Club has announced that they will be holding a talent show. CSHS has not had a talent show in many years. It will be held on Feb. 21 in the auditorium.
Pep club sponsor Jennifer Kunz said she wants to showcase all the amazing talent at CSHS.
“I did it several years ago and we had a good response,” Kunz said. “People don’t realize how much talent there is in CSHS.”
Before Christmas break, Kunz said that she wants to showcase students’ artistic talents in art and industrial classes. She wants students to encourage each other to let her and the pep club display their projects the evening of the talent show. Industrial teacher Zach Cooper will be showing off some students’ welding and woodworking projects. Projects made in Jennifer Potts’ Art classes will be shown in the commons area as well.
Pep Club president and senior Gabby Dalbom said that she doesn’t know what to expect knowing that she and the other members of the Pep Club haven’t done a talent show before.
Kunz said that there will be no judges, she doesn’t want it to be a contest but it to be a showcase of the people of CSHS.
“Right now I don’t have nearly as many as I want to,” she said. “Mya Scott is singing, Riley Johnsen has an acting solo, CJ Round is doing a guitar solo, I’m singing, and Mrs. Martin is playing the piano.”
