This year, the volleyball team made it through the play-in round to the first round at substate. They ended this season with a record of 5-29. They played many different teams.
“Some of the games are more difficult than the others,” junior Raylee Chitwood said. “Being able to mentally prepare and focus on what we were capable of doing was tough.”
The volleyball team had practices after school every day, sometimes going until 6:30. This extra time allowed them to better their skills so they would do well on the court.
“Late practices helped with our skills, and we were able to make less mistakes and be more accurate,” junior Regan May said.
This season, the volleyball team had a total of 5 seniors on it. The seniors on the team have become someone the younger members can look up to.
“They take leadership that we can really look up to,” junior Ava Daniel said.
