Volleyball struggles toward the end of their season

The girls’ varsity volleyball team had a rough season this year with a 3-29 record going into substate. Some girls said they were frustrated with how the season went.

“I don’t think that this season went well,” junior and varsity player Olivia Lange said. “I didn’t play much because I got injured.”

Volleyball players had some positive things to say, despite their scores.

“[My favorite moment was] getting a really good play and celebrating with the team,” sophomore and JV player Raylee Chitwood said.

Some players, though, struggled with celebrating with the team.

“[I struggled with] staying positive when I had messed up,” freshman Josalen Clutter said.

The varsity ended the season at substate Oct. 22 at Dexter. They played the play-in round against Dexter and won in three sets, then went on to play Garden Plain, losing in two sets.
