NHS was a junior/senior only organization. Members had to have a 3.5 GPA or higher to get invited to apply, and they had to write an essay. When members did get in, they were required to do one service project a year.
“I did the Angel Tree, just to figure out what the service projects were about,” junior Heath Daniel said.
The gifts for the Angel Tree were then delivered to residents at the nursing home.
Senior Macie Hartman gathered donations of baby items like diapers and bottles for her service project.
“I’m doing the Little Bundles of Love donation drive for Birthline of Wellington, which basically just helps moms who are struggling with things like income and struggling to provide for their children,” she said. “So just to help moms that are less fortunate.”
