The annual CSHS Cabaret was held this year in the auditorium on May 7. This year the middle school vocal groups also performed at the same concert and in a mass piece with the high school.
Cardinalaires opened the concert with a song from “The Greatest Showman,” then switched every few songs to allow middle school choirs to perform.
“I feel like the order was a good order,” freshman Mylah Tull said. “I’m glad that the Cardinalaires went first because we were the main showy group, and I got to talk to the younger students.”
This year there was only one senior in Cardinalaires, Mya Scott. Scott said it was an emotional night since it was her last concert.
“I sobbed,” Scott said. “At the same time, I was happy, though, because people still do it but I won’t be part of it anymore.”
This is music director Stephanie Bodley’s third year at CSHS.
“The high school choral program has almost tripled in size from my first year as the director,” Bodley said. “We have a lot of music that we could showcase and we had to pare it down for this year.”
