The CSHS 2024 Prom was held Apr. 13. The night began at 5:30 pm. All students lined up and were introduced and walked in either by themselves or with their friends or date, they had their photos taken, and they took pictures with their classes
“Me and Christian Schulte showed up in a blue 1974 Whinnie Wagon,” junior Gabe Murphy said. “It was really scuffed for us, a couple of minutes before we left we had to replace the battery, and when we got there they sent us to walk in 5 minutes early, but it was still fun though.”
Afterward was the dinner, which was held in the commons and decorated in a cowboy theme. Attendees were treated to various kinds of pasta catered by Sarah Jane’s.
“I got to try shrimp pasta for the first time, and it was actually really good,” senior Jacob Osner said. “The sophomores gave amazing service, couldn’t have asked for anything better.”
After that, the Prom King & Queen as well as the Prince & Princess were announced. The King and Queen were seniors Taylor Wykes and Faith Kelly, and the Prince and Princess were juniors Layne Whitney and Lacey Kelly.
“The dance was fun,” junior Isaac Winter said. “My favorite part had to have been when Layne Whitney was crowned Prom Prince.”
Prom ended at 10:30 p.m. and students went home to change as the parents and sponsors prepared After Prom. Students returned at 11 p.m.
“I had a bunch of fun at After Prom. My favorite part was when I took Levi Mies down in the bouncy castle,” junior Connor Rusco said. “I also got to build up a gambling addiction as I played Blackjack with Ed Mies.”
