The annual high school Christmas concert was Dec.11. It consisted of the Cardinalaires performing first and then the band playing after.
This is the third year that band and choir director Stephanie Bodley has been with Conway Springs. Many said that she has made a big influence on their career while they were in the band room.
“She always knows how to work us through the songs she gives us,” freshman Katelynn O’Neill said.
At the concert, the band played multiple songs. Freshman Aiden Perry said he had one in particular that was his favorite.
“I’d say ‘It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas,’” he said. “I just think all of it blended very well together.”
Sophomore Ali Potts had a different favorite.
“‘Santa‘s Big Adventure’ is my favorite,” she said. “I liked my part in it. We understood how to play the song very well.”
Potts has been in the high school band for two years and said she knows what to expect when coming to class. She said that the band has improved over the years she has been here.
“Well, I know what to expect and how to improve myself. Mrs. Bodley knows how all the instruments work, and how to get people to play the correct notes,” Potts said.
