Forensics was a competitive speech and acting class. In it, students learned many things, such as how to keep their composure when giving a presentation.
“I have stage fright, and so it’s taught me how to be calm in front of people,” senior Colton Friess said.
In addition to taking the class, students could also attend competitions.
“I am doing a humorous interpretation,” senior Bella McPhail said. “I read a funny speech, and I try to make people laugh.”
Four students have qualified for state. Those students are sophomore Kaelynn Downey for serious solo acting, junior Troy Herndon and senior Amelia Meyers for improvised duet acting, and sophomore Micah Wolke for extemporaneous speaking.
