The activities and food left many people feeling different about the Back to School Bash. Some said they were pleased with the event, while others said they were left wanting more.
“It wasn’t all what I expected,” senior Sylvester Hemberger said. “I expected a little bit more. I was a little bit disappointed when they shut the music off. But other than that, it was actually kind of fun.”
Some of the cheer and dance members said it was nerve-racking. For others, it was exciting and energizing getting to perform for the community and friends and family.
“It felt fun,” dancer and sophomore Jade Erker said. “Also, it was kind of nerve wracking at the same time, because there’s a lot of people like staring at us.”
Another feature of the event were the food trucks. Booster Club provided a voucher for all of the fall athletes and coaches.
“The food was really good,” cheerleader and freshman Essie Herndon said. “I had chicken and fries and it was like a big bucket of fries.”
