Math may not be a fan favorite subject by many, but students said teachers Justin Regehr and Nick Uhlrich had ways of making it fun. Every year in Regehr’s class, students get to celebrate “Pi Day” by eating pie and other desserts during class.
“Pi day was my favorite memory because I took a whole pie because no one wanted to eat the rest of it, so I ate it at lunch,” junior Bryson Lange said. “Ashton made fun of me because I had the whole pie to myself.”
Uhlrich taught all the algebra classes except for College Algebra. Sophomore Troy Herndon took Algebra II.
“[Uhlrich] tries to make the problems as easy as possible no matter how complex the equation may be,” Herndon said.
Sophomore Tori Nettrouer took Pre-Algebra with Jennifer Kunz.
“I’m not a fan of math. It is just not my subject,” Nettrouer said. “Mrs Kunz helps a lot. She shifts between different kinds of styles.”
