One senior took advantage of the work study opportunity this year. Seniors who were eligible can go to their required classes in the morning and then leave school to go to work. Senior Gage Schmidt decided to take advantage of this opportunity.
“I’m taking work study so that I can get out of school and I can get some extra money,” he said.
After all of his required classes, Schmidt leaves to work at Tarrant Auto Detailing. He cleans both boats and cars.
“I really like to look at the dirty cars and then see them when they’re clean,” Schmidt said.
Schmidt has worked at Tarrant Auto Detailing for four years, and he said he wants to go into plumbing when he graduates.
“My least favorite part of Tarrant’s is cleaning the seats of the car,” he said.
