The fall homecoming ceremony was held right before the varsity game against Douglass on Sept. 20. The king senior Cooper Koster and queen Regan May were announced before the game.
“I really enjoyed everything about being a homecoming candidate, from the many activities that we participated in, to the ceremony itself,” Koster said. “It was also pretty nerve-wracking, but overall I really enjoyed it.”
However, the homecoming game did not go as planned with two lightning delays. This led to students leaving the game early heading to the high school for the homecoming bash run by Stuco.
“[I enjoyed] drinking Dr Pepper, listening to music, and my absolute favorite part was ‘performing’ with Sydney,” freshman Kaelynn Downey said.
Stuco provided nachos, pop, and pulled pork sandwiches at the bash, as well as games and activities like volleyball in the gym, cornhole, and pingpong in the hallway. Tables were set up around the commons with music playing as well. Students said they enjoyed the event even though the game didn’t go as planned.
“The music was really fun to listen to and there was also a lot of dancing,” freshman Tori Thomas said.
