The spring play entitled “The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon” by Don Zolidis was performed March 22 and 23. The play retold several of the Brothers Grimm fairy tales with their dark endings. Fourteen students who auditioned made the cut for the play.
“This play was chaotic from the beginning, and it’s designed to be that way,” drama sponsor Tamara Salisbury said. “There were a lot of funny lines, but seeing each kid making each different part their own was awesome.”
Some students had to play several different characters throughout the hour-long play. Junior Gabe Murphy played an actor, a dwarf, a unicorn, and a group of birds.
“My favorite part about the play was probably the fact that I could act in ways that I normally wouldn’t be able to,” Murphy said.
Junior Addie Pauly and sophomore Zayden Zoglmann played the two narrators of the fairy tales.
“I played opposite Zayden Zoglmann, my cousin, and I got to be really sassy with him, so it’s not far from real life,” Pauly said. “I encourage people to go out because you’ll have a fun time.”
