On Oct. 12, the Humanities Survey class took a field trip to N&J’s Cafe and Bakery in Wichita. This restaurant serves Mediterranean cuisine, which is part of the region they were learning about.
“I liked the food,” senior Makenna Wylie said. “It was interesting, but good.”
The students were also able to go to the World Market to have the opportunity to buy foods from many different cultures.
“My favorite part of the market was looking at the selection of all the different products.” senior Melissa Ebenkamp said.
Humanities Survey, taught by Spanish teacher Sally Hardy, is all about learning about different cultures and experiencing new things.
The class has already learned about many different cultures. They’ve tried many different foods and made many different crafts.
“My favorite culture to learn about was Ukraine,” sophomore Isaiah Rivera said. “Coloring the eggs was really cool.”
