This year 13 boys went out for the tennis team. Between varsity and JV, they have attended 14 meets all together; two of them have been hosted in Conway.

“I’ve gotten first in almost all of the JV meets I went to and I placed fifth in a varsity one,” sophomore Connor Rusco said.

A varsity meet was held here March 30 and April 27, and JV had one here April 10.

“The first varsity home meet went well because we all medalled,” junior Riley Johnsen said. “We were able to put up a good fight against 4A and 5A schools at the meet in Goddard.”

CSHS was the only 2A school to attend the meet April 8 in Goddard.

“The team has been competitive, varsity won our home meet and we’ve had several first places,” tennis coach Chris Bellar said.

The tennis season will wrap up with the CPL League meet on May 1, then Regionals May 4-5 and State May 12-13.
