Tuesday, Jan. 18 play auditions were held by drama production manager Tamara Salisbury and director Kacy Chamberlain. This spring’s play is “Cinderella! Cinderella!” It has a total of eight cast members.

Eight people tried out for this play; some returning members, and some new actors.

“It’s my last year in high school, so I figured why not [try out],” said senior Ian Solomon.

Returning actors said they often found a safe space at play practices. The fun practices made them want to come back.

“I like being in them because it’s fun to act like a different person every once in a while,” said junior Caitlyn May.

After one day of auditions, the cast list was revealed. This year’s spring play will be starring sophomores Grace Bender, Natalie Doffing, Riley Johnsen, and Mya Scott; juniors Caitlyn May and Hannah Zoglmann, and seniors Ian Solomon and Averie Stull.

Some auditioners were not confident in their auditions.

“I don’t think I did that good because I didn’t read the right lines at first,” said Bender.

Despite this, everyone who auditioned made the play. The play will be held on April 1 and 2.
