CSHS hosts coat drive

Junior Hannah Zoglmann took it upon herself to do a coat drive this year for her NHS service project. She asked students and staff to look through old coats they don’t fit or want anymore and put them in the donation box.
“I thought it would be a really good way to help out people who need it, and it was also a really good organization that I chose to give the coats to,” Zoglmann said.
These coats will be going to Klothes Kloset, where they will get donated to families in poverty. Klothes Kloset donates all clothing they receive to those in poverty.
“I really liked doing it because it helps more than just homeless people, but also people who couldn’t afford coats,” Zoglmann said.
According to the Klothes Kloset website, “In Wichita, 15.4% of residents live in poverty, with some neighborhoods having more than 40% of the residents living in extreme poverty.”
