For the first time, Conway Springs students have the opportunity to tour Europe. In the summer of 2021, student will go on this historical tour. Paris, Normandy, and London are among the many locations to be visited. Social Studies Teacher Craig Frederick is chaperoning the trip along with Art Teacher Whitney Long if enough students attend.

“It’s an historical adventure and a cultural change,” Frederick said.

Early this September, a meeting was held for students and their parents interested in going on this trip. For students to reserve a spot on the trip they have to make payments to the tour company. Students have many different reasons for going on this trip.

“I’ve always found foreign countries interesting and it’s [a] once in a lifetime [opportunity],” senior Adyson Koster said.

The trip taking place in the summer of 2021 means that students in the class of 2020 are going to be a year removed from high school when they go on the trip. This prospect deterred some from going on the trip. Other also cited various reasons for not going on the trip.

“I’d want to explore Europe when I am older and don’t have to follow school guidelines,” senior Austin Gibbs said.
