On Sept. 14, the girls tennis team traveled to Emporia to compete for a second year. The meet was a combination of JV and varsity, and included teams from Shawnee Mission East, Blue Valley, Manhattan, Derby, Lawrence, Andover, and Emporia. These larger schools gave Conway a chance to compete with teams that aren’t in their league. Overall, the varsity placed fourth and JV wasn’t scored.

“[The competition] was tough, but I could’ve done better,” junior Lucy Boyles said.
