With homecoming just around the corner, people are getting ready for the game activities, the float parade, spirit week and of course the nomination of candidates for Homecoming Queen and King. The candidates for King are seniors Philip Ast, Collin Koester, Seth Osner and Peyton Winter. The candidates for Queen are seniors Reagan Ebenkamp, Kara Koester, Karlee Osner and Madison Pauly .

“I am not excited to be a candidate because I don’t want to walk in front of everyone that are in the stands at the football game,” Ebenkamp said.

Spirit week will start Tuesday, Oct. 2 instead of Monday due to no school that Monday. The themes for the week are Pirates and Princesses day on Tuesday, Hippy Day on Wednesday, Fictional Character Day on Thursday and Red and White Day on Friday.

“My favorite theme for spirit week would be American Day. That theme is my favorite because I can show the pride I have for my country,” sophomore Ethan Perkins said.

Float judging and game activities will take place towards the end of the school day. The ceremony for the candidates will be at 6:30 on Oct. 4th at the football field.

“Personally, my favorite Homecoming game activity would be Crossing the Amazon, junior JoEllen Reep said. “The reason it’s my favorite game is because I enjoy playing it and I think its funny when people end up falling.”
